SERVICES

When considering home, take into account whether your loved one needs medical or non-medical care. Medical home care is designed to treat an acute medical condition and usually entails complicated, sterile or invasive procedures. Some examples are duties such as; post-surgery activities, wound care, catheterization, feeding tube support, ventilation assistance or injections
The main difference between medical home care and the non-medical in-home care we provide is that our services are tailored to suit all your unique needs. Medical home care visits are brief and cannot be customized to an individual's full needs. With Allied Health, your loved ones receive home care services, customized to fit their individual needs.
Allied Health Care Service provides a wide range of services for our Clients who need help with their activities of daily living. Often the ill and elderly need an extra pair of hands to remain independent in their own home. That's where the experienced staff at Allied Health Care services comes in. To allow your loved one the ability to remain independent we provide  a wide range og Home care assisted living packages.
All of our Care packages includes, but not limited to the following:
Companionship

Meal preparations, day outings, games, and enjoyable conversation brings smiles to their faces. This enhances overall health, happiness and quality of life.

Meal Preparation and Special Diets
Elderly individuals don't have the energy or interest to prepare nutritious meals. To promote a healthier lifestyle ACHCS   prepare healthy and nutritional meals to our clients. We also prepare and cater for clients who require a particular meal or diet based on their medical conditions. Our Care Pros encourage and prepare well balanced, nutritious meals. We're able to prepare specialty home cooked meals such as; low sodium, renal, low fat, thickened, and pureed. Our reliable Care whizs are also experienced in preventing dehydration, which is very common is seniors.

This allows us to design a unique care plan that’s fitted to each Client's specific needs. This ensures we offer superior personalized care. With our customized hourly in-home care services, you can rest assured that all your in-home care needs are met.

Avoid Hospitalizations
Our objective is to safely keep our   you in your home and independent as much as possible.  Hospitalizations, although sometimes necessary, can be endless cycle of health problems. For instance, did you know that up to 25% of all hospitalizations are due to medications not being taken correctly? With our Hourly Home Care Service we can greatly reduce the risk of unnecessary hospitalizations by ensuring that you receive optimal care..

Better Than Any Facility
Hourly home care provides dedicated one-on-one personal care to the ill and aging in their own home. This level of care isn't available in any facility care setting such as Assisted Living or Nursing Homes. All facilities operate using the same business model. That is, one caregiver takes care of many residents at the same time. In many cases, one caregiver is responsible for up to 30 residents at a time. This results in having to wait for care instead of receiving care exactly when you need it. With Allied Health Care you'll never have to wait for the care you need!

Easy Set-up
Getting started is a painless process. We can usually meet the same day you call and will even come right out to your home or facility. There's no need to sign any long-term contracts or write a large deposit either. Best of all, we can usually start services within a day after meeting. Starting care is quick and easy!

24 Hour Stay-In Home Care Services
We make it our duty to provide an affordable way to keep those in need of care in their own home for as long as possible as much as possible. Our live in care packages allows our Clients to receive the most dedicated level of support at an affordable rate. Round the clock care
Allied health care provides true 24-hour Stay-In Home Care, where one Aide works 3-5 days shift and is relieved by another health aide.  . This is much different than Hourly Home Care, where several Aides may be required. Additionally, 24-hour Stay-In Home Care is less expensive and more consistent than Hourly Home Care.  This works especially for clients who suffer from cognitive condition (Dementias such as Alzheimer’s disease) and require a set routine with familiar faces.

Maintain Independence
24-hour Stay-In Home Care services allow our Clients the opportunity to maintain their independence at home for as long as possible. Stay-In Care promotes seniors to remain more involved in daily activities as compared to a facility setting like a Nursing Home. Additionally, those receiving Stay-In Care preserve control over their lives and are thereby able to maintain more dignity. This results in longer, healthy happier lives. This also allows our clients to remain a part of the family dynamic.

Stay In Familiar Surroundings
For elders who can no longer care for their daily needs, the prospect of having to leave their home and familiar surroundings is depressing and frightening. Peace-of-mind is enhanced within the secure, familiar surroundings of home.  With 24-hour Stay-In Home Care staff quickly become familiar with personal likes and dislikes allowing your loved one to receive the individualized home care service they deserve. This reinforces a sense of independence and control over life's daily routines, which is important for good mental and physical health.

Better Family Relations
Families are more likely to visit their loved ones in their own home rather than in an institutional setting. 24-hour Stay-In Home Care means families can spend more time enjoying visits with their loved ones. With our help, you and your family can concentrate on enjoying the precious time you spend together comfortably at home!

Reduced Family Stress
Consistent and dependable home care helps families live more peaceful lives. Utilizing one dedicated staff, which lives in the home day and night, ensures consistency which adds to quality of care. This allows families to focus on what's most important, their loved one. Dependability is assured when you choose Allied Health Care to provide 24-hour Stay-In Home Care for the senior in your life.

Alzheimer's and Dementia In-Home Care Services
Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia, the type diagnosed in 60 to 80 percent of dementia cases. This disease is always difficult to deal with, for those living with it as well as their loved ones. A strong support system is essential.
As the disease progresses, the symptoms begin to make everyday living more challenging for those with the disease and the loved ones striving to help them cope. Families often find themselves singlehandedly trying to provide all the care necessary. This can result in a loss of emotional connection, which is invaluable to maintaining a strong family relationship. At this point, professional help often becomes necessary for proper care.
In the late stages of this disease, individuals require a great deal of care. The brain becomes unable to tell the body what to do for even the most basic functions. When it comes to this point, individuals often need more intensive aid than the average person has the knowledge or capability to offer. At this stage, it's often in the best interest of the diagnosed individual as well as the family to enlist the help of professionals who have experience caring for people with dementia or Alzheimer's. By utilizing Hourly or Stay-In Home Care through Affordable Home Care families receive the support they need to face dementia head on.

How Does Home Care Complement Dementia?

Safety First
Those with dementia or Alzheimer's often put themselves in harm's way. This generally requires constant supervision. The watchful eyes of our Care Pros ensure your loved one remains safe in the comfort of their own home. The Services We Provide will help the senior in your life stay safe while aging in place.

Slower Disease Progression
Our Care Pros specialize in keeping the mind of our Clients with dementia or Alzheimer's stimulated. This is important as studies have found that the disease progresses slower in those who stay mentally active. We have a toolbox full of activities specially designed for those with dementia. This allows us to customize an activity plan based on our Client's preferences. Sadly, Assisted Living and Nursing Home settings rarely offer this level of activity, often resulting in rapid decline.

Specialized Staff
Have peace of mind knowing you'll receive the most experienced and well trained staff. After reviewing Our Caregiver Selection Process you'll see that we only hire caregivers who understand how to deal with your family's unique challenges.

Home Care vs. Assisted Living
The typical environment inside a Nursing or retirement home is loud, busy, confusing and full of new faces and usually mental stimulation. It's because of these factors, dementia patients in institutional settings deteriorate more rapidly than those who remain in their own home.
In-home care reduces confusion by limiting the number of new faces. Since home is the most tranquil and familiar surroundings, having a dedicated Care team ensures your loved one will receive the mental stimulation that's so important to slow the disease down.

Short Term Respite Care Services
Respite care typically refers to home care services that are only needed for a short period of time. This is different than our usual services, which are generally set up on an ongoing basis. We understand that ongoing services are not the right fit for every care situation. That's why Allied Health is the Company of choice when you're looking for home care services on a short-term basis.

Post Hospital Care
While in a hospital setting, it's easy to assume the transition back home will be smooth. However, once home it can be very difficult, sometimes impossible, to perform basic daily activities without hands on help. This increases your risk of having a fall, mismanaging your medications, and not receiving proper nutrition. These risks can easily send you right back to the hospital and extend your recovery period substantially. Following the proper after care instructions from your Doctor is something Allied Health care can provide you with assistance.

It's important to understand what your needs will be once you get home from the hospital and plan accordingly. It's vital for proper recovery after a surgery to have help if you're unable to safely perform any of the following functions:
  • Get in and out of bed
  • Independently walk a minimum of 50ft
  • Get on and off the toilet
  • Cook a warm meal

We offer trained licensed nurses who, focus on keeping you safe and promoting your recovery with personal care. In most situations Home Health Care Service will arrange a Registered Nurse to review your vitals and perform any wound care. As you heal, they may also coordinate Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech Therapy. Although, it's important to have Home Health Care Service after a surgery or hospital stay.

After surgery care through Allied health Care will provide you the personal care assistance needed to remain safe and focus on recovery. Our team of after surgery experts are very experience in making sure your transition back home is smooth. We know the right questions to ask your discharge planner, which is critical to fully understanding your care needs. We'll then make sure one of our dedicated Care Pros provides you the hands-on care you need to get back to the life you want to have.

Transition to Home
Our focus on transitional care means you'll have our support every step of the way. This includes communicating with your doctor at the hospital, arranging transportation follow-up Doctor visits, and regular management oversight. We'll make sure you get home safely with just the right care to meet your needs.

Rapid Response
Often time’s hospitals don't provide you much notice regarding a post-surgery discharge date. Allied Health usually is able to get services started within 24 hours or less. Give us a call (784) 526-0691 and we'll arrange to meet you in the hospital the same day. We're here to get you the help you need right away.

Flexible Services
By utilizing our Stay-In or Hourly Home Care Services to provide your post-surgery care you'll have the benefit of being able to adjust the level of service you receive over time? As you recover, reducing your care is just a phone call away. We never lock our Clients into any long-term contracts, and you can cancel services at any time.
