​The Certificate in Emergency Medical Response Skills (EduQual Level 4) is a certified training program that equips individuals with essential skills and knowledge to provide immediate medical care in emergency situations before professional help arrives. It covers basic life support, CPR, wound care, and patient assessment, and is accredited by EduQual, a UK-based awarding body.


PERQUISITE
1. Obtain a passing grade of 80% or more in all theoretical subject areas.
2. Portray competent skills in all practical assessments by acquiring a grade of acceptable from the authorized examination personnel.
3. Maintain a 75% attendance rate.
4. Complete 25 hours of practical time
5. Complete 6 unit portfolio

  COURSE OUTLINE
Unit 1: Introduction to Emergency Medical Services and Health Care System
 EMT Well-being, Occupational Health and Safety, Patient Lifting and Moving, Medical, Legal, and Ethical Issues, Medical Terminology Anatomy and Physiology &  Physiological Changes in Aging.  
Unit 2: Airway Management (20 Hours)
Respiration and Ventilation, CPR/AED, Primary Assessment & Vital Signs.
Unit 3: History Taking (20 Hours)
Trauma Patient Assessment, Medical Patient Assessment, Reassessment, Critical Thinking and Decision Making & Communications and Documentation.  
Unit 4: Physiological Emergencies (40 Hours)
Respiratory, Cardiac, Diabetic Emergencies, Altered Mental Status, Allergic Reactions, Poisoning and Overdose Emergencies, Trauma Management (Soft Tissue, Chest, Abdominal, Head, Neck, Spine), Bleeding and Shock & Pediatric Emergencies. 
Module 5: (20 Hours)
Environmental Emergencies, Pandemic Preparedness, Highway Safety and Vehicle Extrication, EMS Response to Terrorism & Occupational Health and Safety. 
Practical Reviews & Drills: (40 Hours)
